Poachers Brewery opened in 2001 as a 5 Barrel Brewery in an industrial unit situated on the former site of RAF Swinderby. Today the brewery operates from a converted barn at the rear of the brewer's house (George Batterbee) in North Hykeham using a 2.5 Barrel plant.

Small groups are welcome to visit the brewery by arrangement at a cost of £10 per head. The visit will consist of :

The brewery tour plus drinks and a free Poacher's glass, followed by a buffet at The Dovecote, Swinderby.
